Starting at age 10, Melvy Alvarez trained in backyards and parks with his Mother and Coach, Marina Aguero.

 

Chasing a shared dream of the Olympics. That dedication turned Melvy into a 10-time U.S. National Team member and multi-time National Champion.

​

Today, Melvy and Marina have founded the Connecticut Taekwondo Academy to pass that same spark to the next generation.
